What a way to spend a sunday in Brighton! The sun was shining, tens of thousands of cheering people thronged the streets, and the smell of excitement was in the air. And, most importantly of all, six runners ran 26.2 miles in the climbing temperatures to raise money for our charity Quest4Change – fantastic! So far between them they’ve raised over £2,500, and the fundraising’s not finished yet, so our projects are set to benefit even more from their tireless efforts. Well done guys, it was a tough day in the scorching sun; we’re very impressed that everyone made it.
In no particular order, the 2011 Quest4Change Brighton Marathon fabulous fundraising runners were:
Kevin Love, finishing 42nd with a time of 3 hours and 2 secs – what a star! |
Dan Jewitt, with an excellent time of 4 hours, 21 minutes |
Katy Lee, a first-time runner with a time of 5 hours 25 minutes |
Nikki Harman, brilliant fundraiser, time 5 hours 50 minutes |
Matt Parkinson, beating his own record with a time of 4 hours 35 minutes |
Charlene Marriott, true grafter, time 5 hours 10 minutes |
Once again, a massive thanks to all the team.
Bring on 2012!
