Just a brief update this time as they are getting stuck into the project work – thanks Tilly for the post!

After a long and dramatic flight we have arrived in Lima, Peru to start the volunteering phase of our trip. To begin with we were all filled with nerves as we didn´t know what to expect from the children. Fortunatley we took a tour of Villa Maria first thing to get our bearings and it became clear that the children knew what to expect from us. we had children shouting out ¨gringos* and running to high five us, it was clear they remembered Quest. Since then we have been to a variety of different communities, both new and old to play with they children which is completley exhuasting but a lot of fun. We have aslo been to the mayor´s office and recieved both more funding and greater support for the future of the project. To round up a great start here in Villa Maria we put on a pirate themed fair which resulted in a huge water fight between the kids and the gringos, and on sunday we got our first taste of the ¨domingo familiares*. Elvis (as impersenated by Clara), Madonna (Noah), Miley Cyrus (Tom) and Lady Gaga (Jess) all made quest appearences, as well as many other well known faces. It is sure to be a show that we will all never forget. Now we are all ready of another action packed week filled with alot more games, pool time with the kids, outdoor cinema evenings and not to mention more dance rehearsals in preparation for the next domingo familiares!
