Hello hello,
Brighton had a great Marathon on Sunday, with over 10.000 participants. Quest4Change marked its presence doing volunteer work. We had a water station at the end of the 6th mile, and me and my fellow Portuguese friends were there to help with the water station, as we are trying to get involved with the Brighton lifestyle and culture!! It was awesome to see so many athletes going so fast, giving everything they had. Most of them were there for the competition, but we also saw people who were there for fun, for example, dressed as Batman, Spiderman, dancers and also some of them with important messages like “Stop Violence” and “Fight Cancer”. I think that the most important thing about this Marathon was the spirit of the participants (athletes and volunteers), because there was competition, a lot of fun and mutual respect.
At the end we were all tired but so happy that we had helped so many runners and cheered them on to keep going with the race!
So congratulations to all the finishers and non-finishers and those who threw the Brighton Marathon, and hopefully, we’ll see you next year!
